Jama Masjid located just a bit away from Charminar in Hyderabad. It was constructed by Muhammad Quli Qutub in the year 1597, after completing the construction of Charminar. It is one of the oldest and popular mosques of Hyderabad.
There are ruins of an old Turkish bathing place which also give an archaeological value to the Masjid. In the past there was a monastery and a school which are also the part of the Masjid premises. Regularly people come here to offer their prayers and during festive seasons, the crowd will be more. As this place is visited by a large number of Muslims, it remains as one of the principal places of worship in the city.
