Lumbini Park is located in centre of the Hyderabad beside Tank Bund. It is spread over 7.5 acres of land and was constructed in the year 1994. This has become one of the major tourist attractions in Hyderabad and is maintained by the authority of Buddha Purnima Project. There is a statue located in the park, of Lord Buddha in the middle of the lake. This park is named as Lumbini Park on the remembrance of Lord Buddha’s birth place. But now on the honour of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh late T. Anjaiah, the park in the year 2006 was renamed as T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park .This Park is always busy with children and families as there are lot of attractions which can eat your day.
Laser show that happens daily in the park is one of the attractive and impressive shows that currently take place in India. The highlight of this laser show is it creates the 3D city which cannot be explained in words and takes the attention of tons of people from all over India. The musical fountain where the water dances based on the tunes that are generally played in Telugu is another attraction of the park. Boating in the lake which gives us the chance to visit near Lord Buddha located at the centre of the lake is another attraction of this park which attracts the visitors.
It is always best time to visit this park starting from January 1st to December 31st. As this park is situated in Hyderabad there will be no problem for the visitors in any season.
