Mrugavani National Park is a national park situated at Chlikur in Moinabad mandal and covers an area of 3.5 square miles or about 700 acrea. The park contains 600 varieties of plant species in it. It is also near to the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy in Moinabad mandal.

The park includes the plant life of shrebs and herbs and the flora includes teak, bamboo, sandal, picus, palas and rela. And the fauna includes cheetal, sambar, wild boar, jungle cat, civet cat, mongoose monitor lizard, python, Russell viper and cobra. The park contains cottages and tents for accommodation throughout the year.
For the avid birdwatchers, the park is also home to more than 100 species of birds, including warblers, peacocks, lapwings, and flower peckers. Visitors can heighten their experience in the park by choosing several activities. Safari rides are available for those who want to get up close and personel with several of the park’s denizens. One can also take nature walks with guides, checking out the hidden beauty of the park.

The park authorities conduct regular snake shows and maintain a well-stocked library and an Environmental Education Centre with an auditorium and a museum with wildlife exhibits. This park is close to the concrete jungle of a fast growing Metropolitan Hyderabad City, and an ideal gateway from the hustle-n-bustle of urban life.
